Combat sweeping book bans with a summer of reading dangerously. Join us as we discuss the topics and themes that make each book "dangerous" and write letters to the legislatures that have banned them.

The first novel by Toni Morrison, The Bluest Eye is an American classic. The novel follows the life of Pecola as she grows up in a country hostile to her due to the color of her skin.

The Bluest Eye explores themes of race and sexual assault.
