Trans Day of Visibility in Belmont: with Special Guest Evan Greer

Transgender Day of Visibility is an annual event to celebrate the lives and contributions of transgender, non-binary, and all gender-expansive people, while also drawing attention to the poverty, discrimination, and violence the community faces. Join us this year for a two-part event. 

Discussion and Music with Evan GreerStrategies for defending and uplifting our trans neighbors.

Evan Greer is a trans and queer activist, writer, and musician based in Boston. She's the director of digital rights group Fight for the Future and writes regularly about technology, human rights and LGBTQ issues for the Washington Post, Time, NBC News, Wired, and CNN. Her last album Spotify is Surveillance was featured by NPR, Rolling Stone and Pitchfork and hit the "very bottom of the Billboard charts." Over the years she's shared stages and collaborated with Pete Seeger, Talib Kweli, Against Me!, Ted Leo, Eve 6, Chumbawamba, Ezra Furman, Immortal Technique, Amanda Palmer, and Billy Bragg. Evan organizes Break the Chains, one of Boston's most popular queer dance parties, and is a regular guest on TV and radio discussing her activism and music.
