Trans day of rememberance

VIGIL: 11/20 at 6:00 PM at Belmont Town Green

Violence against trans individuals is a serious concern.  In 2022 to date, 33 transgender people have been murdered in the United States, most of them, people of color.

Belmont LGBTQ+ Alliance will present a public installation that commemorates each of these individuals struck down too early in their lives by senseless violence. The installation will be up for public viewing from Thursday, November 17th to Sunday, November 20th on the Town Green on Leonard Street in  Belmont Center.

Sunday, November 20th is the actual Day of Trans Remembrance, a nationwide commemoration of the victims.  A vigil with the reading the names of each of the victims will be held at 6 PM.
